During the weekend of April 27th and 29th, hundreds of visitors had the opportunity to watch the day-to-day life of the walled town of Castelo de Vide Castle during the Portuguese Restoration War for his Independence between 1640 and 1668.

Despite the adverse weather conditions, the historical camp – civil and military, street music, juggling, actors, historical workshops and a children’s area was displayed.

A publication about the history of Castelo de Vide was presented, an initiative of the Municipality in collaboration with the Institute of Medieval Studies of the NOVA University of Lisbon.

On Saturday night, the Church of São João was the stage for a concert from medieval to Renaissance music time, ending with a musical pyro show in the Castle.
