Terena Castle, in the Municipality of Alandroal, hosted the fifth edition of the Alentejo Border Castles and Fortresses Event on the theme of the Revolution of 1383-85 – Rota do Constable and Treaty of Windsor, on November 9th and 10th.
Close to a thousand visitors were present at which the territory’s producers and operators showcased the arts and traditions of its people.
On Saturday night, a few km from Terena, the Sanctuary of Holly Lady da Boa Nova Church hosted the period music concert in which they played, among others, the famous Santa Maria songs.
This Sanctuary being the third most referenced religious place in the hundreds of songs in this famous medieval songbook wrote by Alfonso X!
